On the occasion of A+A 2009, Sperian announces the launch of 13 new products
2009-11-23
Sperian Protection will participate
in A+A 2009, the international fair trade dedicated to safety, security and
health at work and held in Düsseldorf, Germany from November 3 to November 6,
2009. Present in this Trade Fair since 1975, Sperian will display for the first
time 13 new innovative products that will help the firm to consolidate its
leadership on the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) market.
Over
the past 50 years, Sperian has been constantly willing to develop its own PPE
offer through the design of equipments combining state-of-the-art technology
with comfort and ergonomics. The participation of Sperian in the A+A fair trade
is the symbol of this vocation. On this occasion, the group will unveil the
launch of 13 news solutions for head (eye, hearing, respiratory, gas detection)
and body protection (clothing, gloves, safety shoes, fall protection). Innovative
interactive tools will provide visitors with information about Sperian’s
exhibited new products.
The
new products will be displayed on a modern 240-square-meter stand where
visitors will have the opportunity to meet and discuss with the representatives
of the firm. Interactive tools will be divided into three different spaces,
each of them being dedicated to one of the key sectors of PPE users (building
industry, oil and gas industry and all of the working environments related to
energy production, telecommunications and transportation.) Visitors will also
have the opportunity to attend and participate in demonstrations of fall
protection equipment in use.
Sperian
will also dedicate a part of its exhibition space to pandemic prevention. The
acceleration of this phenomenon, due to the globalization of exchanges and the
circulation of people, can dramatically affect businesses and their
competitiveness. A simulator will show how viruses spread and explain the
direct impact they have on the organization of an industrial site.
Finally, Brad Witt, an audiologist and director of the “Hearing
Conservation” service at Sperian Hearing Protection in the U.S will participate
in a conference on November 4, 2009. During
this conference entitled “Hearing protection efficiency in real life”, Brad
Witt will present two new methods to determine if a worker is actually
protected from any kind of excessive noise that could damage his/her hearing
health. These methods consist in testing the wearing of earplugs and an in-ear
dosimeter at workplace. Brad Witt will also answer the following question: “Which
degree of protection actually applies to workers in real life?” using the
results of a study he recently conducted with a hundred workers.
