Sperian Protection launches a new line of customizable
welding helmets that combine design and performance: Optrel p500. These optoelectronic
masks for professional or occasional welders are a real innovation for the
welding market thanks to its new concept of lateral inserts. With these
interchangeable and replaceable elements, welders can now personalize their
work instrument!

As
design is a substantial trend on the welding market and in order to meet the demand
of customizable equipments for welders, Sperian Protection launches a first
series of 7 interchangeable lateral inserts with its Optrel p500 range. 7
exclusive models of lateral inserts are available so that the design of the
welding helmet can easily be changed: Tiger,
Mirror, Bulldog, Electronic, Skull, Reptile and Tribal. This new design
provides welders with a comfortable, attractive, ergonomic and lightweight
equipment.

Moreover,
contrary to the previous one, the Optrel p500 line includes two-colored helmets
and different colors. Four colors are currently available: white/black,
black/white, black/green and untreated black.

of technical characteristics
In
addition to customization, comfort was also a priority since this new line
offers several advantages before it complies with technical specifications:

An “Optrel” telescopic headband and lightweight shell that optimizes the
distribution of the helmet’s weight over the head and limits tension in the
neck and nape;

Two additional features: a sensitivity control knob for the auto-darkening
filter, which can be adjusted according to the welding procedure, and a
transition delay knob that controls the transition speed from dark to light
after welding.

Finally, an optimized field of vision thanks to the enlargement of optoelectronic
cells (50x110mm).
