Sperian's S-Series Cartridge Service Life Program will calculate an estimated service life for Sperian S-Series air purifying respirator chemical cartridges. The estimated service life values calculated by the program represent a pair of cartridges.
 
The program will only estimate the service life for cartridges exposed to gases or vapors and does not in any way address exposure to particulates. The user is required to provide information about the work site concentration of the contaminant present, as well as the temperature and humidity of the work site. The user's work rate (breathing rate) and a contaminant breakthrough level must also be provided. Once the required information is entered, the program automatically calculates an estimated cartridge service life. The program also provides a method of estimating the cartridge service life for respirators exposed to environments where more than one contaminant is present.
